PESTA BUKU ASEAN 2026!

 On 4th of July 2026, yes i visited a book fest again, but in Penang! HAhah! That makes me visit 2 BOOK EVENTS THIS YEAR! YEAH! 

Alright, this time's event was in a WHOLE NEW CONVENTION CENTRE! PENANG WATERFRONT CONVENTION CENTRE YALL! 

the parking was spacious, really. not as cluttered like any other con parkings.!

the escalator was 90 degrees tall! 

the carpet was luxuriosu! its giving the hotel vibes! but its a con!!

Alright, when i stepped in the event hall, IT WAS REAAAAAAAALLY HUGE! HUGE-R THAN PBKL! It was so preeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty and hype yall! but i didnt take any photos of the entrance huhu!

Best part was there's a concert, and a local famous cartoonist Ujang! :D

Yep i met him! 

He was lowk nice! I didnt expect him to be there lol! seriously! 

Now i know i cant really trust tiktok.. they're all mean! kata takda buku TAPI BELAMBAK JA ADA! DIORANG JE BOSAN! CIS!

an awesome HANG TUAH book that costs rm300! I REALLY WANT TO BUY IT BUT I DONT HAVE MONEY WEYHHHH

i finally bought these RISE PRODUCTIONS comics! 

there's also food selling at the convention centre too. sadly (again) the promotions were all 90% AI... so sad....

a viral mochi i ate. so squeezy and chewey.

Overall, 10/10 experience. i recommended to everyone to visit every year ( if ada ) 

I also learnt that i need to bring my own money everytime i visit a con or an event so that i dont need to depend on my sister and parents. hahah, freedom BABEY!

PBKL 2026!

 Hai gais!

On June 1st 2026, I visited PBKL (Pesta Buku KL) for the first time and it was amazing! 

When i first entered the PWTC it was full of people. I remember walking in there and seeing lots of small stalls , with various books from different publishers. As i walk down deeper into the building , i finally know that the main publishers like Iman Publication, Hilal Asyraf Resources and more popular ones are deeeeeeeeeeep inside. 

It was huge, really. There are multiple halls. I went with my friend coincidentally and we had a whale of time searching for my book i saw online , mainly in telegram.

Sadly, I didnt take any photo while i was strolling thru with my sis and fren. I was amazed by how lots of stalls here and there, showcasing a lot of books! 

One of the most unforgettable experience was I get to meet Hilal Asyraf face to face. Oh my goshhhh i spoke with him haha! i got his sign and i purchased a lot of Nirnama merch. 

these are the only HD ones i took. yang lain tu.. hm, blur.

I bought a poster, postcards and ofcourse his books! Nirnama 2 and a comic book! 

unfortunately, that day was a monday(?) and i didnt get to meet Hani (the artist). but at least i get to meet the author~ 

Next , I got hooked up by this one booth called "Rise Productions" , i immediately got attracted by the artstyle! and the cutouts of the characters.

It was a unique booth! But unfortunately , while i wanted to buy it so much and having interest in it , the cashier seems "endah tak endah" haa gitu. macam aku ni , punyalah minat sangat astu dia tu tgk fon je. ish.

but i bought it in the end at pesta buku asean at penang, lol.

Also , I got to go to an IOT booth called "AISSZY" electronics. It was so cool! They showcased their iot products , mainly arduino and yeah, ESP32. i was so glad and bought the esp32 learning kit for my project this year. 

I heard they're selling a book too, the concept seems so interesting... but one thing i dislike is that they kinda used AI a bit...

I met the owner too! She gave us a motivated video with my own phone :D 

Overall, it was such a fun experience to go there and meet the authors and fans.. Other than the booth i stated, i also visited DBP , Iman Publication and DK kreatif booth because it was closing time... so i dont have much to explore the whole entire building sadly huhu

I bought my fav comics from Kemves Studios, the all new Empayar 4 and a bit of new comic i havent heard yet.

A book that I REAAAAAAAAALLY LOVE IT BUT I DIDNT FINISH ITTT: Bagaimana Menjadi Pemimpin

 

I borrowed this book from my school library... Unfortunately, I didnt finish throughout my 2 week holiday :( I was busy studying and doing other stuff that I forgot this book exist... huhuhu!!! 

10/10 This book literally teach us how to be a good leader , in terms of islamic perspective. I love how the author has a proffesional background, plus reminding us how our prophets, beginning from Adam A.S until Muhammad A.S, faced a lot of trials throughout their lives, that is eventually harder than of all of us.. to be as a reminder to all of our ummah. I really love it so much, but the problem is, it's a library book, and it was published, like ~7years ago.. and i searched it online, they were all out of stock and sold out. It may be discontinued, sadly. 

I also found out that he's an engineer! AAAAA!!! My dream job! I'm so inspired by him! :D

I learnt a lot from this book..
